Patrice De Place
With a Master in Common Law and Political Sciences, Patrice de Place began his career with Dupont de Nemours in the International Division based in Geneva. He was first of all in charge of Northern European markets and then carried out several assignments in Latin America and in the USA. Later he worked for Christian Dior in Paris where he had different responsibilities, one being Export Manager. He took part in the development of the European markets and the Gulf countries to introduce the Brand. During that period he spent most of his time in Saudia Arabia, Kuwait, the Emirates etc. He is then entrusted the responsibility of the Far East. Living in Tokyo he became Chief Representative Director for the Asia Pacific region. It was also at this period that Dior was taken into the LVMH group. When LVMH took over Céline he became President of Céline Japan, then President of Céline USA, and finally becoming General Managing Director for Céline SA.
He is a member of Shanghai Fashion Research Center and of the UK Science and Humanities Research Council. He is also an Advisor for the French Export Trade Ministry.
Patrice de Place, as President of Mod’Art Academic Committee also lectures from time to time to Mod’Art International students or it’s partner, London College of Fashion’s students.
He gives conferences on the diversification of Luxury products, the creation of a Luxury Brand, Licensing and Franchising Luxury products and distribution networks in Japan.
